An Introduction.

I’ve grown up in a generation with the ability to reach the rest of the world with just a few simple finger gestures. We can speak with those from cultures completely different from our own. We’re all able to voice our thoughts, and someone out there in the world could listen and respond in turn. And that’s fucking amazing. It’s a constant cycle built upon the ability to absorb others’ perspectives to help shape our own

I’ve always felt an instinctual need to share my thoughts and ideas on any given topic, which I find incredibly ironic since for a substantial part of my childhood, I didn’t speak a fucking word to anybody. I was the textbook quiet kid—a small group of friends, didn’t speak unless spoken to, rarely answered questions. It wasn’t until high school that I finally started to act like a human being instead of one of those NPCs in GTA V. This is also around the time when I came to realize how much art and stories mean to me.

Fast forward nearly a decade and a global pandemic later, I’m at the point where all that pent-up creative energy is finally coming to light. I’m in a constant state of needing to create, for everyone and for no one. I’ve become a film photographer, started a new video content project, and continued working towards being the best video editor and storyteller I possibly can. And all of this happened within the last year. Now, I want to add “writer” to this ever-growing list of creative pursuits.

I’ve had the idea of starting a platform to express my own thoughts and perspective for a while now. I always knew that I wanted to get these ideas out into the world, but it always came down to a simple question. THE question… “How?” A podcast? A vlog? A fucking novel? None of those ever felt right. My mind rambles on too much for a podcast. I feel like my artistry belongs elsewhere than a daily vlog. And honestly, my grammar is far too poor for a 200+ page book.

So, we’ve landed here. Welcome. This is a space for me to express all those wonderful ideas that float around my head 24/7—the ones I find myself speaking aloud alone in my room. In simple terms, it’s a blog that allows me to continue being a creative outside of being a video editor, filmmaker, or artist. Intended to be read by everybody and nobody, you’ll find my thoughts on various creative topics, my reviews of works from creators I love and adore, and breakdowns of my past and future projects that I’d love to share.

My writings could be weekly, monthly, or exactly every 63 days. To be honest, I have no idea. Nevertheless, I hope you follow along on this new journey of mine. Maybe… just maybe… I can leave you with something worth pondering at the end of these entries. That would be my only aspiration.
